This guide was originally developed by the Distance Education Department
for Rabbi Kenneth Ehrlich as a supplement to his PD III (Homiletics) course
in Cincinnati. It was researched and created by Joshua Stempel, an educational
technologist in the department's Los Angeles office.
The Guide provides links to various Torah and Haftorah commentaries,
and to a variety of sermons. Please go directly to "Site
Help" for a description of the material contained in this Resource
Guide and directions on how to use it.
This Resource Guide is still evolving. We need your feedback in order
to improve it. Please contact us at desupport@huc.edu
with your suggestions.
Categories:
- Torah
sites
- These sites contain collection
of drashot based on or arranged by parasha. So, if you are looking for
material on a specific parasha, this is a good place to start.
- Sermon
- These sites contain mainly
sermonic material from High Holidays or other special occasions. In
addition, sites that have sermons listed by topic are also placed in
this category.
- Mega Sites/Other Indexes
- Here you will find sites
with especially large or comprehensive collections that don't fit well
into the other categories we have here. In addition, we have placed
sites with searches or indexes in this category if you wish to look
for more sites.
- Israel Sites
- This list includes sites that are either based in Israel or are Hebrew
language sites.
- Other Sites
- These are additional sites
which may be useful to you or have a unique focus or theme.
- Haftorah Sites
- Currently, there is only
one site dedicated to drashot on the haftorot of the weekly parshiyot.
We
welcome your comments, concerns, and additions to this growing groject.
