Faith Joy Dantowitz

Rabbi Faith Joy Dantowitz has been working for HUC-JIR's New York campus as the Regional Director of Admissions and Recruitment since Fall 2004.

Rabbi Dantowitz was an associate rabbi at Congregation B'nai Jeshurun in Short Hills, NJ from 1993-2004, where she was an active member of the clergy and participated in worship, lifecycle events, educational programs, and committees. During her tenure there, a few key things she instituted include a Family Rosh Hashanah service; Tot Shabbat; Yom Kippur Healing service; the creation of a women's haggadah and seder; a revamped Adult Education program; and work on a Caring Committee.

In the community, Rabbi Dantowitz served two years as the chairperson of the Millburn-Short Hills Clergy Association. She served as the chairperson of the CCAR's Committee on Women in Rabbinate from 2000-2005.

Faith Joy enjoys singing and spending time with her family.
