David J. Gilner

Dr. Gilner is Director of Libraries for the four-campus library system of HUC-JIR and Librarian of the Klau Library, Cincinnati. He attended Emory University, the University of Illinois (Library and Information Science) and HUC-JIR (Cincinnati), where he obtained his Ph.D. in Biblical and ancient Near Eastern Studies. He has worked closely with local Christian churches and religious communities to further interfaith understanding and cooperation. Dr. Gilner is the current President of the Council of Archives and Research Libraries in Jewish Studies, and a past President of the Association of Jewish Libraries.
