| Michael A. Meyer
Michael is the Adolph S. Ochs Professor of Jewish History, HUC-JIR/Cincinnati.
He received his Ph.D. from HUC-JIR and specializes in Jewish intellectual
history and the history of Reform Judaism. Michael's publications
include: Response to Modernity: A History of the Reform Movement
in Judaism (Oxford University Press, 1988) and German-Jewish
History in Modern Times, 4 volumes (Columbia University Press,
1996-1998).
Paul Liptz
Born in Rhodeisa(Zimbabwe), Paul made Aliyah on June 4th, 1967
one day before the Six Day War. Paul is a social historian who deals
with Africa, Middle East, Eastern and Central Europe, Modern Jewish
history, Zionism, and Contemporary Israeli Society. Paul has lectured
at Hebrew University in the Dept of Asian and African Studies and
the Melton Center for Jewish Education in the Diaspora. For 30 years,
Paul has been lecturing in the Department of Middle East and African
History, Tel Aviv University. Currently, Paul lectures at HUC-JIR/Jerusalem.
Paul served in the IDF during the War in Lebanon and then in Education
Corps dealing with IDF Officers. |
