The family of Reva Kirschberg, beloved member of the HUC-JIR/NY community. Reva served on the New York Board of Overseers and was a member of the Dean's Council. She was the Founding Director of the Museum at HUC-JIR, Chair emerita of the Museum Advisory Committee, Registrar and Chair of the Museum Docent Program. A renowned historian of Jewish art and Judaica, Reva was dedicated to the College-Institute and to perpetuating Judaism through the teaching of its culture. Reva was also the Curator Emerita of the Herbert and Eileen Bernard Museum of Congregation Emanu-El of the City of New York

Dr. Rachel Adler (Associate Professor of Modern Jewish Thought and Judaism and Gender, HUC-JIR/LA) on the death of her mother Lorraine Rubin

The family of Rabbi Marianne Luijken Gevirtz, a gifted, brilliant, and engaging person who came to study in the Rhea Hirsch School of Education, where she received her MAHE. Marianne then returned to HUC-JIR for her Rabbinic Ordination in 1996. She was married to the late Dr. Stanley Gevirtz, z"l, who was a Professor of Bible at HUC-JIR, Los Angeles.
