The Milton and Hattie Kutz Seminar, The Advancement of Teaching and Learning American Jewish History: A Program for the Education Students of HUC-JIR to Bring Together Education Students

Twenty HUC-JIR education students from all three stateside campuses will study together February 15th through 18th at The Jacob Rader Marcus Center for the American Jewish Archives at HUC-JIR/Cincinnati.

Students will be able to:
  • Deepen their understanding of American Judaism and the roots of the contemporary American Jewish experience,
  • Understand the important role of the American Jewish Archives in the collection, preservation and dissemination of primary sources, and link new knowledge with practice as Jewish educators,
  • Intensively study a period of American Jewish history and develop a learning unit based on key documents from that period,
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues from all three campuses,
  • Develop the foundation for a working relationship with archivists, educators and historians at the Marcus Center,
  • Learn more about the resources available at the Cincinnati campus
