 HUC-JIR Communal Service Alumni "Imagine the Unimaginable" The latest issue of the quarterly Journal of Jewish Communal Service focused on "Imagine the Unimaginable: Disaster Planning, Preparedness and Response" and featured articles by two HUC-JIR School of Jewish Communal Service alumni. Andi Milens, SJCS '95, Associate Executive Director, Jewish Council for Public Affairs, published "Do Not Separate Yourself from the Community: Community Relations in Disaster Response and Recovery." Lee Wunsch, SJCS '76, CEO, Jewish Federation of Greater Houston, published "Action in Crisis and Uncertainty: Houston's Response to Hurricane Katrina." Wunsch took charge of the Jewish community's massive response to Hurricane Katrina and did a remarkable job under extremely difficult emergency conditions.
