Department of Outreach Education to Feature Dr. Mark Kligman at Lunchtime Scholar Series, April 30, 2008

Stimulating discussion about Sephardi music with national scholar offered as part of the Department of Outreach Education at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion's Lunchtime Scholar Series

Hebrew Union College-University of Cincinnati Department of Outreach Education will hold a discussion on Wednesday, April 30 in the Mayerson Auditorium, on the campus of HUC-JIR, as part of their Lunchtime Scholar Series.

Dr. Mark Kligman, Professor of Jewish Musicology at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York, will lead a discussion entitled "Introduction to Sephardi/Mizrachi Music." This multi-media presentation will show the diversity and uniqueness of Sephardi and Mizrachi communities through liturgical and non-liturgical music.
