HUC-JIR/LA Holds Ordination Services at Wilshire Boulevard Temple on May 18, 2008

Eighteen rabbis were ordained Sunday at the HUC-JIR/LA Ordination Service at the Wilshire Boulevard Temple in Los Angeles. Rabbi David Ellenson, Ph.D., President of HUC-JIR, delivered the Ordination Address.

Fifty-five rabbinical students will have been ordained this year at HUC-JIR's three stateside Ordination ceremonies: 18 in Los Angeles, 18 in New York, and 19 in Cincinnati.

HUC-JIR's newly ordained rabbis will be joining over 50 congregations throughout the United States and Canada, and a congregation in Auckland, New Zealand.
