 HUC-JIR/LA Holds Ordination Services at Wilshire Boulevard Temple on May 18, 2008 Eighteen Rabbis Ordained (of 55 Rabbinical Graduates of Class of 2008)  HUC-JIR/LA Rabbinical Class of 2008 Fifty-five rabbinical students will have been ordained this year at HUC-JIR's three stateside Ordination ceremonies: 18 in Los Angeles, 18 in New York, and 19 in Cincinnati. HUC-JIR's newly ordained rabbis will be joining over 50 congregations throughout the United States and Canada, and a congregation in Auckland, New Zealand.  Newly ordained Rabbis and HUC-JIR Administration at Wilshire Boulevard Temple Founded in 1875, Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion is the nation's oldest institution of higher Jewish education and the academic, spiritual, and professional leadership development center of Reform Judaism.
