Uzi Heyman, Israel Consul General Asaf Shariv, and artist Tom Heyman
Dr. Alfred Gottschalk, HUC-JIR Chancellor Emeritus, delivered the welcome; Magda Fishman, a mezzo-soprano, and Nadav Lev, a guitarist, performed music from the Yom Kippur War era; and HUC-JIR Museum Curator Laura Kruger addressed the group. HUC-JIR Museum Director Jean Rosensaft interviewed Tom Heyman about his war experiences and photography. Consul General Shariv recalled how the Yom Kippur War was one of the formative experiences of his life, as it affected his own family, caused the death of his father-in-law, and influenced his mentors and teachers.
