Marissa Hollander Inducted onto Board of Overseers
of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion


Marissa Hollander, of Boca Raton, FL, was inducted onto the Board of Overseers at the New York School of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion on September 21, 2008.

A member of both Congregation B'nai Israel in Boca Raton, FL and Congregation Etz Chaim in Bentonville, AR, Hollander has been very involved in Jewish organizational work for the past 16 years, including serving as Education Chair on the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County and serving as a board member for the Sisterhood of the Congregation of B'nai Israel. Other volunteer work includes being an Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse at Pine Crest Prep School and volunteering at the Boca Raton Community Hospital and at the Gold Coast Chamber Music Festival. Hollander previously worked at Drexel Burnham Lamber and The Ford Foundation, both in New York City.

The Board of Overseers provides support and guidance for the academic and cultural programs of HUC-JIR's New York campus.
