FACING HISTORY TEACHER WORKSHOP
REBIRTH AFTER THE HOLOCAUST: THE BERGEN BELSEN DISPLACED PERSONS CAMP, 1945-1950

Thursday, October 24th, 4:00-6:00PM

REBIRTH AFTER THE HOLOCAUST is an exhibition that explores what happened to survivors after the Holocaust ended in 1945. How did one re-start a life after such trauma? How does one continue to live after losing so much and so many that are near and dear? In the shadow of the events of September 11th, 2001 we will tour this exhibition and struggle with contemporary connections to the history of life in the displaced persons camps of Europe.

Location: Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion
Brookdale Center - 1 West 4th Street
New York, New York 10012
