Congregation Beth Chayim Chadashim & HUC-JIR's Institute of Religion's Institute for Judaism and Sexual Orientation present: Aaron Hamburger, Author of "Faith for Beginners"

Friday October 28th and Sunday October 30

Critically acclaimed author Aaron Hamburger will visit BCC in Los Angeles, CA for Shabbat services on Friday, October 28th and to read and discuss his work on Sunday, October 30th.

Hamburger's gay and Jewish themed second book, "Faith for Beginners," is described as "funny, searingly insightful, and profoundly moving."

His first book, "The View From Stalin's Head," was a collection of ten short stories about Prague in the post Cold War era. Critics are calling Aaron "a vibrant new voice in fiction." Hamburger is currently a Literature Fellow at the American Academy in Rome.

Friday, October 28th at 8 PM: Aaron will speak at BCC's Friday night services.

Sunday, October 30th at 2:30 - 4 PM: Aaron will read from and sign his new book, "Faith for Beginners"
