Register for "Arava: The Jewish Environmental Experience" on Kibbutz Lotan

As part of Lotan's and the Center for Creative Ecology's efforts to widen the range of our educational programming, starting in September 2006 we will be offering the eight month "Arava: The Jewish Environmental Experience" on Kibbutz Lotan. This unique accredited study and work experience, the result of cooperation between the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies on Kibbutz Ketura, Ben Gurion University, and Masa Israel Journey, focuses on the ethical, physical and social components of sustainable development from a liberal Jewish perspective.

Participants will learn skills benefiting the environment of Israel and the world while strengthening their connection to Israel and identification with Progressive Judaism in Israel. They will experience communal kibbutz living, live in peaceful desert surroundings, and earn 15 academic credits.
