Youth Programs Announces the 27th Annual High School Leadership Conference, April 28-30, 2006

The Department of Youth Programs is pleased to announce that during the weekend of April 28-30, 2006, the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion will be hosting it's 27th Annual High School Leadership Conference (HSLC).
We are preparing to welcome the Reform Jewish Movement's best high school leaders for a weekend of learning and fun. The theme for this year's event is "Take a Good Look in the Mirror: A Weekend of Reflection and Evaluation." We are delighted to have three wonderful experts joining us: Dr. Ken Manges, a practicing psychologist in the greater-Cincinnati area, Mr. Michael Brandt, superintendent of the Newport School District and former superintendent of Cincinnati Public Schools, and Ms. Stacey Delcau, Reform Jewish Educator and Incoming Director of Outreach Education at HUC-JIR Cincinnati, will all join us to guide our learning and offer their expertise. Throughout the weekend, we will learn and explore new methods for personal and organizational reflection, evaluation, and change. Our participants will also have opportunities to learn more about the programs offered at HUC-JIR, explore the Dalsheimer Rare Book Room, and experience the new Jacob Rader Marcus Center of the American Jewish Archives at the Cincinnati campus.
Rabbi Kenneth Kanter, Director of the Rabbinical School and Regional Director of Admissions and Recruitment and the Department of Youth Programs Rabbinical Interns - Ana Bonnheim, Amy Hertz, Joel Simon, and Evon Yakar - look forward to sharing this experience with them.
