Sephardic Electronic Newsletter
Sefarad is an electronic monthly newsletter which appears regularly since 1991, edited by Yitzchak Kerem. It includes a lot of current information on events related to Sephardic studies–from scholarly publications and data on conferences to musical performances and exhibitions. It usually has the following sections: future Sephardic events, Sefardic events of the current month, past events, publications, music, films, call for papers, announcements, news, and eulogies. The information is somewhat repetetive between the various issues, and numerous entries appear more than once (as future, current, and past events, etc.). The reader has to scan through a lot of data, some of which are only tangentially related to Sephardic studies. Readers are asked to send information on their activities or those known to them in their communities, institutions, etc. Sefarad has started to publish book reviews, and intends to publish papers.
