Student Orientation

General Orientation will take place on June 30.
The goals of the student orientation are:
- To get to know one another and to discuss expectations
- To become acquainted with the campus, administration and staff
- To receive detailed information concerning the academic program
Jerusalem and Israel Orientation will take place July 1-4 and July 3 and will
include both formal sessions and field study. The orientation will be
devoted to:
- The fundamentals of Reform Judaism
- The land and people of Israel, a historical perspective
- Introduction to Progressive Judaism in Israel
Attendance at all orientation sessions is required for all summer
semester students.

Introductory Colloquium - August 15 - August 19, 1999
The primary aim of the Colloquium, a four-day professional orientation, is
to provide an informative and relevant introduction to the
educational process which will bring students, ultimately, into positions of
leadership within the Jewish community.
Attendance at all orientation sessions is required for all
Year-in-Israel students.
